Passport Photo Maker
Take a photo against a plain wall and get a correctly sized passport or visa photo. The tool finds your face, sizes your head to the official rules and gives you a digital file for online applications plus a 4×6 inch sheet to print.
How to make a passport photo
- 1Take a front-facing photo against a plain, light wall, then choose it.
- 2Pick your document. Your face is found and sized automatically; adjust with zoom or drag if needed.
- 3Download the digital photo, or the 4×6 in sheet to print at any photo shop or at home.
Supported documents
United States passport and visa (2×2 in, head 1–1⅜ in), United Kingdom passport (35×45 mm, head 29–34 mm), Schengen/EU visa (35×45 mm, head 32–36 mm), India passport (35×45 mm) and the common 35×45 mm size used by many other countries.
Not edited, only sized
Many countries, including the US and UK, reject photos altered by software. This tool only crops and scales your photo; it never changes your face or background. So take the photo in good, even light against a plain wall in the required color.
Countries not included
Canada requires photos taken by a commercial photographer, and Australia advises against online photo services, so they aren't offered here.
Frequently asked questions
- Is it free?
- Yes, with no signup and no watermark.
- Is my photo uploaded?
- No. Everything happens in your browser.
- How do I print it?
- Download the 4×6 in sheet and print it at actual size (not “fit to page”) on photo paper at home or at a photo shop. Cut along the grey lines.
- Will my photo definitely be accepted?
- We size it to the published rules, but approval also depends on lighting, expression, glasses and background. Always check your government's latest requirements before applying.
- Can I use a phone photo?
- Yes. Ask someone to take it from about 1.5 m (5 ft) away at eye level, facing a plain wall, without zooming in on your face.
