Case Converter
Fix text typed with Caps Lock on, turn a headline into Title Case, or convert names into camelCase or snake_case for code. Paste your text, pick a case and copy the result.
How to change the case of text
- 1Paste or type your text, or open a .txt file.
- 2Choose the case you want from “Convert to”.
- 3Copy the result or download it as a text file.
Cases for writing
Sentence case capitalizes the first letter of each sentence and a lone “I”. Title Case capitalizes the main words of a headline and keeps short words such as “and”, “of” and “the” lowercase. Capitalized Case capitalizes every word.
Cases for code
camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case and CONSTANT_CASE split words at spaces, punctuation and existing capitals, so “user ID number”, “userIdNumber” and “user_id_number” convert cleanly into each other. Each line is converted separately.
Any language with capitals
Upper and lower case work for every alphabet that has them, including accented letters, Greek and Cyrillic. Text in scripts without capitals, such as Hindi or Chinese, is left as it is.
Frequently asked questions
- Is my text uploaded?
- No. The conversion runs in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere.
- Will sentence case fix names and places?
- It can't know which words are names, so “new york” stays lowercase. Capitalize names yourself after converting.
- What's the difference between Title Case and Capitalized Case?
- Title Case keeps small words like “a”, “and” and “of” lowercase unless they start the title. Capitalized Case capitalizes every word.
