Timed to the original
Each line starts when the original speaker starts. If a translated line runs long, it's sped up slightly so it fits before the next one.
Standard AI voices
Dubs use a library of standard AI voices. We don't copy or clone anyone's voice, and the picture (including lip movement) isn't changed.
Credits
Translation uses 1 credit per minute and the voice 1 credit per 1,000 characters, usually 2–3 credits per minute of video. The exact cost is shown before each step.
Frequently asked questions
- Is it free?
- Dubbing uses credits because translation and voices run on our servers. Free accounts get 20 credits a month, enough for a short video.
- Is my video uploaded?
- No. Speech recognition, mixing and saving happen on your device. Only the transcript text is sent to our servers for translation and voice.
- What happens to the background music?
- The original sound stays underneath at a volume you choose, so music and sound effects are still heard.
- Which languages are available?
- Every language we have voices for; the list shows them.
- Does it lip-sync?
- No. The picture isn't changed, only the soundtrack.
