EXIF Viewer

Photos carry hidden details: the camera and lens, the exposure settings, when they were taken and often exactly where. See all of it before you share a picture.

How to view EXIF data

  1. 1Choose a photo.
  2. 2Read the summary: camera, settings, date and location.
  3. 3Open “All tags” for every field the file contains.

Location warning

If a photo holds GPS coordinates, you're told clearly, since anyone with the original file can see where it was taken. Remove EXIF Data strips them.

What's read

EXIF from cameras and phones, plus IPTC and XMP from editing software, in JPG, HEIC, PNG, WebP and TIFF files.

No metadata?

Screenshots, edited images and photos sent through most messaging apps have had their metadata removed already.
