Extract Odd and Even Pages from a PDF

Print on both sides with a printer that can't: print the odd pages, put the stack back in, then print the even pages. This tool makes the two files, or just the one you need.

How to separate odd and even pages

  1. 1Choose the PDF.
  2. 2Pick odd pages, even pages, or both as two files.
  3. 3Click “Extract pages” and download the result.

Double-sided printing by hand

Print the odd pages first. Turn the printed stack over, put it back in the tray, and print the even pages. Which way to turn the stack depends on your printer, so try it with two sheets first.

Page numbers

“Odd” means the 1st, 3rd, 5th page of the file, whatever numbers are printed on the pages themselves.

Scanned both sides separately?

To put front and back scans together again, use Merge Double-Sided Scans.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free?
Yes. There's no signup, no watermark and no limit on the number of files.
Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. The PDF is processed in your browser, on your own device, and never leaves it.
What happens with a one-page PDF?
It has no even pages, so only the odd pages can be extracted.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
Yes. You're asked for the password when you open the file; it's only used on your device to read the PDF.
