Fade Audio In and Out
Make a track start gently and end smoothly instead of cutting in and out. Pick how long each fade lasts and download the result in the same format as your file.
How to fade audio in and out
- 1Click “Choose audio file” or drag a file onto the page.
- 2Pick a fade in length, a fade out length, or both. “Off” skips that end.
- 3Click “Add fade” and download the file.
How long should a fade be?
1–2 seconds is enough to avoid an abrupt start or a click at the end. 3–5 seconds gives the classic radio-style fade out at the end of a song. 10 seconds is a slow, gradual ending.
Need to cut the audio too?
The audio cutter can cut a section and fade it in one step. This tool fades the whole file as it is.
