Ringtone Maker for iPhone and Android
Pick your favorite 30 seconds of a song and save it as a ringtone. You get an M4R file for iPhone or an MP3 for Android, with a gentle fade in and out if you like.
How to make a ringtone
- 1Click “Choose audio file” or drag a song onto the page. Videos work too.
- 2Move the start and end sliders to the part you want (up to 30 seconds). Play it to check.
- 3Choose iPhone or Android and whether to fade in and out.
- 4Click “Make ringtone” and download the file.
Adding it to an iPhone
Open the M4R file on your Mac and drag it onto your iPhone in Finder (or iTunes on Windows) while the phone is connected. It then appears under Settings › Sounds & Haptics › Ringtone. iPhone ringtones can be up to 40 seconds; 30 is the safe length.
Adding it to an Android phone
Copy the MP3 to the phone's Ringtones folder (or open it and choose “Set as ringtone” where your phone offers it). Then pick it under Settings › Sound › Phone ringtone.
Frequently asked questions
- Is it free?
- Yes, with no signup and no watermark.
- Is my song uploaded?
- No. The ringtone is cut and saved in your browser.
- Why can't I choose iPhone in my browser?
- M4R files use AAC audio. Some browsers can't create AAC; if you see an error, choose Android (MP3), or try Chrome, Edge or Safari for M4R.
- Can I use any song?
- Use music you own or have the rights to. Making a ringtone for your own phone from a song you bought is generally fine; sharing it is not.
