Convert PNG to JPG
Shrink PNG screenshots and photos into JPG files that are often a fraction of the size, for email, uploads and websites. Choose the quality, and the color that fills any transparent areas.
How to convert PNG to JPG
- 1Click “Choose images” or drop your PNG files onto the page.
- 2Set the quality; 85 looks almost identical to the original.
- 3Click “Convert” and download your JPG images, one by one or as a ZIP.
Smaller files
JPG compresses photos far better than PNG: a PNG photo often becomes five to ten times smaller as a JPG at quality 85, with no visible difference.
Transparent areas
JPG can't store transparency, so transparent parts of a PNG are filled with the background color you pick, white by default. For logos that need to stay transparent, convert to WebP instead.
Many at once, privately
Convert up to 50 images in one go and download them together as a ZIP. Everything happens in your browser, and location data and other metadata are left out of the new files.
Frequently asked questions
- Is it free?
- Yes, with no signup and no watermark, up to 50 images at a time.
- Are my images uploaded?
- No. They're converted in your browser and never leave your device.
- Will text and sharp edges stay crisp?
- At high quality, mostly. For screenshots full of text, PNG or WebP keeps edges sharper than JPG.
