SSC Signature Size: 10 to 20 KB JPG

The SSC CGL 2026 notice asks for a JPG signature of 10 to 20 KB, about 6 cm × 2 cm. This tool brings a scan or photo of your signature down to just under 20 KB.

How to resize a signature for SSC

  1. 1Sign with a black pen on plain white paper and photograph it from straight above.
  2. 2Choose it here. 18 KB is already selected.
  3. 3Click “Compress to 18 KB”, zoom in to check it's sharp, and download the JPG.

Your SSC photo works differently

That same notice has the photo captured live in the application, and says photographing an existing photo can get your application rejected. So this page is only for the signature, and no compressor applies to the photo.

Blurred or tiny signatures

SSC says blurred or miniature signatures are rejected. Crop right up to the ink with Crop Image, so the signature fills the picture, and zoom in on the result before you upload.

Frequently asked questions

Does this apply to every SSC exam?
Each exam has its own notice and rules can change between cycles, so follow the notice for your exam.
Why does it warn me about 10 KB?
The form has a minimum as well as a maximum, so a file that's too small can be rejected. Start from a larger scan and try again.
Is my signature uploaded?
No. It's processed in your browser and stays on your device.
