Compress PDF to 200 KB

Application portals often cap each certificate or ID scan at around 200 KB. This tool gets a PDF under that limit, keeping the text if it can and keeping pages as sharp as the size allows.

How to compress a PDF to 200 KB

  1. 1Choose your PDF.
  2. 2200 KB is already selected. Pick another size if your form asks for one.
  3. 3Click “Compress PDF”, check the new size, and download the file.

Certificates and ID scans

One or two scanned pages normally fit comfortably and stay readable. Check that small print and stamps are still clear before you upload, and go back to the original if they aren't.

Several documents in one file

If a form wants everything in one PDF, join the scans with Merge PDF first and compress the result, so all of them share the same limit.

Frequently asked questions

Should I aim exactly for 200 KB?
No need. The tool stops under the limit, and the result shows the final size so you can check it against your form.
Can I still select the text?
If the file fits without changing the pages, yes, and the result tells you so. If pages had to become images, the text can't be selected or searched.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. It's compressed in your browser and never reaches our servers.
