JSON Viewer
Make sense of a big API response or config file. The JSON becomes a tree you can open and close level by level, with a search that finds keys and values and a path you can copy for any of them.
How to view JSON as a tree
- 1Paste your JSON or open a .json file.
- 2Click ▸ to open an object or array, or use Expand all and Collapse all.
- 3Search for a key or value, and click “Copy path” to copy where it is.
Paths you can paste
Every value has a path like $.store.books[0].title, ready to paste into a JSONPath query or turn into code. Keys with spaces or symbols are written in brackets, like $["first name"].
Big files stay fast
Only the parts you open are drawn, and long arrays show 100 items at a time, so files with thousands of records stay quick to browse.
At a glance
The summary counts the values in the file and how many levels deep it goes; arrays and objects show their size next to their name.
Frequently asked questions
- Is my data uploaded?
- No. Everything runs in your browser, so the JSON never leaves your device.
- How many search results are shown?
- The first 200 matches, each with its path and a preview of its value.
- Can I edit the JSON in the tree?
- Not in the tree. Edit the text above it and the tree updates as you type.
