Online Metronome
Keep time while you practice. Set the tempo with the slider or by tapping, pick a time signature and hear an accented click on the first beat of every bar.
How to use the metronome
- 1Set the tempo with the slider, the +/− buttons, or by tapping “Tap tempo” along with a song.
- 2Choose a time signature and whether the first beat is accented.
- 3Click “Start”. You can change the tempo while it plays.
Steady timing
Clicks are scheduled on your device's audio clock rather than with page timers, so the beat stays steady even if the page is busy. The dots show which beat of the bar you're on.
Common tempos
Largo is about 40–60 BPM, Andante 76–108, Moderato 108–120, Allegro 120–156 and Presto 168–200. Practice slowly first, then raise the tempo a few BPM at a time.
