Sharpen Images
Give slightly soft photos more bite. Edges and fine textures get crisper, which helps after resizing, scanning or shooting in low light.
How to sharpen an image
- 1Choose one or more images.
- 2Set the strength while watching the preview.
- 3Click Sharpen and download the sharpened images.
How it works
Sharpening uses an unsharp mask, the classic darkroom technique: it boosts the difference between each pixel and a blurred copy, which strengthens edges.
Don't overdo it
Too much sharpening adds bright halos along edges and makes noise grainier. 30–60 suits most photos.
See it first, then batch
The first image updates as you change the settings, so you can get the look right before saving. Every image in the batch gets the same treatment, and you can download them all as a ZIP.
Frequently asked questions
- Is it free?
- Yes, with no signup and no watermark, up to 50 images at a time.
- Are my images uploaded?
- No. They're edited in your browser and never leave your device.
- Can it fix a badly blurred photo?
- No. Sharpening can't add detail that isn't there. For small images, Upscale Image with AI can recover more.
