Text to ASCII Codes Converter
Look up the number behind every character, or turn a list of codes back into text. Plain English letters give their ASCII codes, and every other character its Unicode code point.
How to convert text to ASCII codes
- 1Type or paste your text.
- 2Choose what goes between the codes.
- 3Copy the codes, or click Swap to turn codes back into text.
ASCII and beyond
ASCII covers 128 characters: A is 65, a is 97, a space is 32 and 0 is 48. Characters outside ASCII get their Unicode code point instead, so é is 233 and 😀 is 128512.
One number per character
Unlike Text to Binary and Text to Hex, which show UTF-8 bytes, each character here is one number, however many bytes it takes.
Decoding
Separate the numbers with spaces, commas or line breaks.
